Buttock Augmentation

A buttock lift is a purely cosmetic plastic surgery that is more concerned with improving the tone and tautness of the skin rather than adding structure or volume to the backside. A true buttock lift is an invasive, surgical procedure that requires several; incisions, general anaesthesia and about four weeks in recovery time.

Buttock implants are considered to be a purely cosmetic plastic surgery whose main intent is to make the posterior look higher and more well rounded. However it can be part of reconstructive surgery for individuals who have lost part of their buttocks due to injury or some kind of trauma. Buttock implants fall into the category of prosthetic surgery. This is because the implants themselves are made of soft, but solid silicone that are foreign objects.

In a nutshell, buttock implants are used to make a rear end look bigger and rounder and liposuction is used to make a rear end look smaller. The purpose of a buttock lift is to make the rear end appear less saggy, dimpled or wrinkled.
