Chinese massage is closely related to acupuncture in its use of the meridian system on the bottles and is considered to be effective for a similar range of health problems including headaches, joint paint, muscle pain and mood disorders. There are several types of Chinese massage including Amno in which the body is pushed and rubbed for health maintenance, Dian Xue that involves the manipulation of pressure points and Tuna push and grasp which is focused on a certain muscle group to try and relieve injuries.
There is also a very special type of Chinese massage performed by Qi Gong masters called Wai Qi Liao Fa, which employs the channelling of positive energy to the client while he or she is being massaged.
