French PolishThe term French Polish refers to a French manicure that is often worn by brides as they walk down the aisle. The look is a very pink nail bed and very white tip. French manicures can be any colour and in fact there is even such a thing as a reverse French manicure where the tips of the nails are coloured and the nail bed is painted white. However when the term French Polish is used it usually means a nail bed that is a natural pink tint topped with the white nails.
The tips of the nails can be your own or you can have fake tips applied to magnify the stark white appearance of the tips. The nails can be of any length. As long as they have the pink and white colour scheme they qualify to be described as a French Polish.
The term French Polish is also one that is more commonly used in the United Kingdom than in the United states although you may often see the terms used on many of the European type spas in the United States and Canada.
