Thigh LiftA thigh lift is surgery that removes excess skin and fat from your thighs. The intention of the procedure is to improve the appearance of your legs by removing cellulite. It works best on the front and side areas of the legs but not as well on the back or inside thighs. Sometimes this type of surgery is required after a person has lost a great deal of weight.
A thigh left is considered to be a major operation and it does requiem general anaesthesia and a hospital stay. An incision is made in the thigh and fat is removed. The skin is then pull upwards and excess skin is removed. The recovery time for this operation can take four to six weeks. It should be performed by qualified plastic surgeon as a lot of after care is required and sometimes a shunt may have to be inserted in the leg to drain excess fluid from it.
