Tony Ferguson diet is great.. if you stick to it!! Its a diet where you don't starve yourself, you eat healthy and feel revitalised with plenty of energy and lose weight quickly.
You have to kick some habits like eating carbs. So no bread, no pasta, no rice etc.
The diet has meal replacement satchets for breakfast, there are some really nice flavours like chocolate etc. Its like a thickshake, it keeps you pretty full then at lunch you usually have all you can eat salad and a shake, snacks are fruit, then for dinner your choice of protien with salad.
The first few days are the hardest but once you get used to it , it becomes ritual and you start to feel great with weight loss results!
I know people who have lost more than 10 kgs! I personally have lost 4 kgs so far. I did my research for $$ cost and results and I found that TF diet is probably the most cost effective too! Good Luck..

I think all diets are a waste of time. The only real effective method is exercise. If you exercise daily and eat healthy foods there is no need to go on fad diets to lose weight. Swimming is one form of exercise that is enjoyable and also allows you to lose weight, it kills off more calories than walking or even running.

The occassioal treat wont go astray either..its all about moderation and not depriving yourslf totally that it leads to binging.

I found that by Cutting Carbs ( no bread/pasta etc ) and having more protein and regular exercise.. at least 40 mins a day..no matter what the exercise is. You will lose good amount if weight and your body will shape up nicely.. not to mention you will feel terrific.

I agree on exercise, but let's be realistic here - cutting out essential foods like bread , cereals, pasta etc is not the answer. Eat in moderation all food groups. These so called "protein" diets where you starve your body from any carbs , do lose weight quickly but for how long can you last?? Look around us - italian foods, chinese foods ..all containing pasta, breads, rice.. If you cut carbs, you also limit your lifestyle choices..
I'm so sick of going out to dinner and having to avoid certain restaraunts because friends of mine are on a carb free diet.. how boring?!!
The key is: eat in moderation and just exercise

Well I have been told that no carb diet can cause damage to your liver because of the strain it has from too much protein.

I'm now 5kgs less than I was 2 months ago - thanks to cutting out carbs from my diet. I must admit it is a great sacrifice to eliminate this from my eating habits.. but it was worth it being able to see my toes again!!
But now Ive become really obsessed with the foods that I eat.. everytime I eat something naughty like chocolate, the guilt consumes me and I find myself dwelling on it.. my weight fluctuates on a daily basis. I know this is a stupid question but is there a major difference with weighing yourself in the morning opposed to the evening? When is the best time to weigh yourself?

I would like to point out that one of the roles of the liver in the body is to burn fat and the liver will only do this if it is safe to do so. There is no proof that a low carb diet 'damages' the liver after all this is one of it's functions. Our bodies are designed to burn fat and many years ago when food was scarce our body would burn fat as a souce of energy. Now, due to food being so abundant this no longer occurs.
Yes, exercise is important but did you know that in order to lose weight by exercising you need to burn fat (unless you are losing muscle which is not a good thing!) and the liver is doing the fat burning here as well!
Also carbohydrates are not 'essential' - fat and protein is essential. There are both essential fatty acids that our body needs and essential amino acids from protein that we have to get from our diet as u body cannot make them - there are no essential carbohydrates that our body MUST have. Having said that nutirents from vegetables are paramount in our diet.

It effects the low-calorie diet eventually slow down the metabolism because the body tries to adapt to sufficient calories. Slower metabolism will also slow down the weight and gaining weight after Dieter starts to eat normally.

Body fat percentage is a often better measure of diet success and overall health than weight. This is a quick method for calculating your body fat percentage.
