Hi to anyone contemplating eye laser treatment, i have worn glasses since i was 9years old, and up until recently i was badly short sighted i then progressed to gradual lenses for long distance as well as reading close up. i visited the Adelaide laser centre on Greenhill road, there i under went a few test to check if i was a candidate for this type of surgery, the staff were absolutely wonderful from the moment you walk in the door from the receptionist to the specialist they where very helpful i guess they know how nervous i would be and also full of a million questions. i was given the green light and an appointment to go back for my surgery, they only operate on a Thursday they give you a relaxant pill and they take you into the theatre room, it is a very calming atmosfair. the Surgeon was excellent and put me at ease straight away he talks to you the whole time and lets you know what is happening. the whole procedure takes about 5 mins tops and the beauty of it was i could see straight away, i have one eye laser ed for long distance the the other was left a bit short sighted so i could read close up things which did not take long to get use to. You then go back to where you are staying for the night they recommend that you try and sleep for about 4 hours believe me when the relaxant drug kicks in that is all you want to do. Then you go back on Friday for an eye test to see how it is going i got excellent results. I would recommend this treatment to any one who is fed up with glasses and is a candidate for the op. i have been in and out of hospitals for a long time and i would highly recommend the Adelaide eye and laser centre. We stayed at the Tifton on the Park which is with in walking distance to the clinic. good luck to anyone who goes a head with it. regards Patricia

reason behind that is that it's fast becoming just about the most well-liked vision correction treatments, the excimer laser is used to implement this procedure which basically removes tissue from the cornea as calculated by a very high tech computer to alter the curvature and permit the retina to receive a clearer vocal point.

The revolutionary procedure known as LASIK has become one of the most popular and successful in the world. LASIK is the most commonly used surgical procedure for correcting short sightedness (myopia), long-sightedness, and astigmatism.

There are some cosmetic surgeries that will show a longer recovery period. On the other hand there are also procedures that will see you going home minutes after the treatment session is over.

Lasik is the preferred laser treatment for eyes. microkeratome blade cuts the outer eye layer, which is then peeled back to access the cornea so that it can be modified with a laser. The most common is the excimer laser, which remaps the eye position up to 4000 times per second to ensure maximum.

Lasik is definitely one of the most important to a lady. I heard from my over cosmetic surgery agent that there is a small possibilties that lasik operation can go wrong. Hmm, seems like we need to be very careful about this. I did my ops oversea and my advice to the others is to find a reputable agent to help you out if you intend to go oversea for treatment.
