Re:Eyelash Extensions

Hi Zara,
Eyelash extensions last anywhere between 3-8 weeks. Depends on the technician and the products that they use. They are individually attached to your own lashes, one by one. You will need to have them professionally removed. If you try to pull them off, you will pull out your own eyelashes! They are weightless and they feel and look completely natural. Here is a photo of the last set I did on my client.

BEFORE
<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i17/starfish-enterprises/IMGP0396.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a>

AFTER
<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i17/starfish-enterprises/IMGP0401.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a>

Eyelash Extensions

Eyelash extensions will not damage your own lashes when cared for properly. Your natural lashes continue to grow underneath and are not hindering the natural eyelash growth in any way.

The eyelash growth and shed cycle is around 8 – 12 weeks. Eyelash extensions will fall out with your natural lash and also shed through the degradation of the glue which can be caused by oilly makeups and removals.

Eyelash extensions should only need refilling every 2- 3 weeks to ensure you always have long thick lashes. If your eyelash extensions fall out completely before the average refilling time, they have not been applied properly or the product is of poor quality.

Eyelash extensions should only be applied by a trained and certified techincian and you should never try to remove your own eyelash extensions as you may pull out your own lashes.

Cheers

Lusty Lashes

I'm sure this would weigh down your lashes as well as look untidy as your eyelash extensions are growing out.

Long term effects of the glue is unknown as stated in the MSDS. This goes with all chemicals that we use e.g Hair dyes, nail polish, soaps, shampoos and conditioners.

All I know is it is safe for most people ( I have never had anyone have a reaction) and the glue is placed on the lash, not directly onto the skin.

I have personally worn eyelash extentions for 3 years. My natural lashes are fine, they probably have thickened up more and are now straighter due to beening "trained" through the eyelash extensions and they go where I want them to go.

Hi Guys,

About 1 in 200 people are not suited to ELE - this is due to the irritation or reaction they suffer from the glue. As a general rule you should preform a patch test on all new clients. Any reaction will be present in the first 24-48 hours. If you do suffer a reaction you must go back to your ELE stylist and have them removed. DO NOT pull them off as you will pull your own lashes out.

As for getting lashes done always make sure your stylist is trained and that you have heard good things about them via word of mouth.

At Hypnotic Lashes we train, supply and do eyelash extensions

Feel free to ask any questions via email - hypnoticlashes@live.com
I know that like hair extensions, eyelash extensions are a cosmetic process whereby synthetic materials are applied to create a fuller, longer look. But I am little bit confused about it precautiuons. Can anyone suggest me something genuinely?
Hi there - what exactly would you like to know?

ELE themselves are applied one by one to your natural lashes - there are a few medical issues which may arise from having ELE, although this isnt directly caused by the ELE its usually caused by people not cleaning or looking after their eyelash line while they have ELE on.

You can have an allergy to the glue - this will be gone once you have the ELE removed.

You can get an eye infection called blepharitis - again caused by not cleaning your eyes or your make up off properly. If you get ELE you must wash them with warm water and baby shampoo twice a week, especially if your going to continue to wear mascara over the extensions.

Madarosis - this can be caused by wiping or rubbing your ELE too much or too hard. If your lash stylist puts too heavy ELE on you this can also happen - this is a good reason to go to a really great recommended stylist!

Chemical Pink Eye - symptoms are bloodshot and sore dry gritty feeling eyes. This is caused by the glue vapors. Using eye drops will help to alleviate the pain and the symptoms will cease after a few days - you shouldnt be getting this though as your eyes should be closed during the application and a good amount of time at the end to make sure all glue is dry and set.

If i have missed anything let me know and Ill fill you in.

Dont be scared of ELE they are great when done well and they do not damage your lashes if they are applied correctly - i have had ELE on for 3 yrs without a break (as I am in the industry) and my lashes are fine and full. I do have a great partner in business who does mine so if you can find a great stylist you will have no issues!

The best way to extend your lashes is with this lash by lash technique wich makes them more natural looking.

Eyelash extensions are the latest trends for women. In fact, they have also been widely accepted by many old-world women who are trying to have their eyelashes transformed through the process. They are waterproof and very durable, so you'll have no problem showering, swimming, or wearing your favourite eye cosmetics while you have extensions on. You should buy some eye make up remover from your eyelash technician, they will have some and for the sake for a few more pounds to the bill you should buy it.
