Some body polishes use small beads made out of organic material to scrub the skin. These beads are often suspended in a gel or lotion that helps to soften the effect of “sandblasting” the skin. These beads can be capsules that contain organic oils, bits of shell, seaweed or other naturally abrasive products.
Aromatic oils are also used to add to enhance the experience of having the body rubbed vigorously. Peppermint oils are used to refresh the body while lavender or citrus based oils are used to relax the participant. The overall effect can be very soothing.
Many spas and salons add a body polish to their roster of services, as it is one good way to make a person feel renewed and refreshed. As the body is scrubbed old new ones replace skin cells. The scrubbing of the skin also brings it a fresh pink glow that makes a person look and feel younger.
