Depending on the salon the treatment can consist of a number of applications including applying hot towels, applying creams, lotions, steam and an exfoliation. A toner may also be applied to close the pores after the treatment is done. Yet another preparatory step is usually to shave the face so the salon beautician has a clean canvas to work with.
