Hair replacement is actually a form of transplantation surgery. Hair follicles from other parts of the body such as the back in males and the legs in females are transplanted to the scalp and encouraged to grow. The general public sometimes refers the new hair follicles to “hair plugs.” Getting hair plugs is the most expensive and painful form of hair replacement and results are not always guaranteed.
