Perfumes and fragrance have been used for centuries by both human and men. The initial purpose of a perfume was to disguise body odour as in many cultures it was not uncommon for centuries for people to take a bath less then once a year (if even that.)

Today perfumes and fragrances are an essential part of hygiene and also courtship rituals. Many people find a fragrance that they like and wear it every day as their signature scent. Other people were different perfumes according to their moods. Still others only wear natural scents made out of essential oils that have no alcohol base in them.

You can buy perfumes just about everywhere in this day and age including drug stores, department stores and even corner stores. A huge trend is for celebrities to invent their own perfumes and market them as their own brands. It seems like every celebrity from Paris Hilton to Elizabeth Taylor has marketed a perfume or series of perfumes at one time or another.
